The city of Hayden held a grand opening and ribbon cutting Tuesday, May 17, at Broadmoore Park to celebrate the opening of the park's newest amenity, a jr. disc golf course.

Hayden interim Mayor Scott Forssell cut the ribbon, accompanied by Councilwoman Sandra White and Malea Sampsel and Joel Johnson with the Parks, Recreation and Community Forestry Commission.

The five-hole jr. disc golf course is designed for youth and families to enjoy. The project was made possible with support from Chomper Cafe, Belle’s Brunch House, Gargoyle Granite, Kootenai Title, TDS, Coeur d’Alene Realtors and Great Floors.
